WFU Columbus Volunteer Opportunity

In the spirit of pro humanitate, come serve a meal with other Wake Forest alumni at The Van Buren Shelter, Columbus's newest homeless shelter. The Van Buren Shelter houses women and families. The evening will include a tour of the shelter, meal preparation and service and kitchen cleaning.

Children of alumni are welcome if they are at least 14 years old. Arrangements can be made if a volunteer needs to arrive slightly after 6 p.m. The kitchen can only hold six volunteers. This event will close after six people register. More information regarding the volunteer opportunity will be provided via email as the event approaches.

The Masters Reception is a tradition that began in 1974 to recognize and honor golfers with Wake Forest connections who were participating in the tournament. For nearly 40 years, Wake Foresters have enjoyed this signature event. Arnold Palmer was honored at the 2004 reception.
