The Houston Food Bank is America’s largest food bank in distribution to its network of 600 hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. Volunteers produce the equivalent of a meal a minute while helping the Houston Food Bank sort, process and pack food. Volunteer projects vary based on need and may include inspecting/sorting food, repacking dry food into family-sized bags, stocking/cleaning the Emergency Food Pantry or one of many other opportunities.
All Volunteers must register through the Houston Food Bank website (link to be provided once registration is confirmed). Volunteers MUST be at least 6 years old and supervised by parent or guardian throughout the shift. All volunteers under the age of 18 also need a completed Youth Volunteer Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian.
