If you are coming out to the ballpark for the 4 p.m. WF baseball game vs. Va Tech, bring canned goods to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. (The Big Brothers Big Sisters project has unfortunately been cancelled.)

Dress for Success empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Volunteers are needed to help break down the merchandise from the Spring Excess Inventory Sale and help transport it back to the Dress for Success Office (both locations are downtown Winston-Salem).

Help us restore Reynolda's Forecourt Garden! The boxwoods were taken by blight a few months ago, a highly contagious fungal disease. Reynolda has secured a replacement for the boxwoods called Pyracomeles, a similar evergreen shrub that is less susceptible to disease. Help the staff plant 300 of the new shrubs No previous planting or gardening experience required, just bring gloves and comfortable clothes!

Join other Deacs to support the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House by preparing meals for the freezer. Once the menu is set, look for a sign-up genius for grocery items to bring.

Did you know that 1 in 3 American families experience diaper need? Each month the Triad branch of the Diaper Bank distributes 80,000 diapers in the Triad. Before diapers go out, volunteers help wrap the diapers into packs of 25. This is a fun project with low physical exertion (volunteers can sit) and children are welcome!

Join Wake alumni in serving dinner to guests at the SECU Family House. Sign up to bring a dish or simply to assist with serving a meal. Use this event link to help with preparing the meal! Join other local Deacs at Senior Services Community Garden to help prepare the garden for the Spring season! Help us as we clear the gardens and plant beds.
